Integrated Project Research Area Cinema
June 21-23, 2006 Testbed in Madrid , Spain

The IPRacine consortium organised its first testbed in Madrid . A setup with 2 high resolution Viper cameras and nie low-resolution cameras was used to record images for the “virtual camera” research. Ultimately this will lead to the creation of a virtual camera that can be moved anywhere on the set at post-production time within a scene recorded with a small number of carefully placed cameras. The action featured dancers on a green screen that will be replaced by a virtual set in post.

The test bed was coordinated by MediaPro. An extended description of the testbed is available here. A later announcement in Spanish was also published in LiderDigital.

A  11 minutes video summary of the testbed 1 is available on video.google.com
